Coronavirus is affecting everyones lives, not just in this country, but around the world in an unprecedented way. Let's take great comfort in the bible promise from a Creator God who says to us "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46 verse 10) Yes, many are frightened, at risk, losing income, losing jobs, losing businesses, falling ill and dying. However, that has always been the case, yet because we may not have been affected in these ways until now we may not have noticed. But whoever you are, wherever you are, God says to you today "Be still". He reminds us that we are not God, we are not all powerful, all invincible, but He is. Our stillness and peace can come from Him.
For us as a local congregation, we may not gather for Sunday services, but we are "still church". We still trust in Him, still hear His voice, still can be guided by His Holy Spirit. Our Sunday services can be viewed online via Facebook or Youtube. Simply search for Beacon Life on either of those platforms. Broadcasting commences around 10.15am and the service will start at 10.30am
At some point in the future, we may look back at this life-changing event and talk in terms of "BC" (before Coronavirus) and AC (after Coronavirus). We cannot know what the AC world will look like, and although we are experiencing great changes just now there is one thing we can know - God is with us. He was there before, He is here now and He will be here AC.

OUR BIBLE VERSE FOR 2020
The Baptist Church, Kilmington gathers at The Beacon and draws people from across the rural Axe Valley and beyond. We’ve been around the area since 1650, so we have a great history. Read all about it here. But most people want to know about the church of today. We are ordinary people with an extraordinary passion to be a Beacon for Jesus.
We aim to show the love of Jesus to everyone we meet in daily in our lives. That means you too! We have a congregation of over 140 people of all ages serving the community in a variety of ways.
We are also a people with 20/20 Vision: that means we are longing, praying and keen to see twenty people get baptised as part of our congregation by the end of this year! To achieve this we are asking the question - SHARING JESUS - WHERE DO WE GROW FROM HERE? We need to grow UP through Worship We need to grow IN through Fellowship We need to grow OUT through Mission We need to grow DOWN through Discipleship
We seek to be a Beacon for Jesus, living out our faith wherever we may be, and in whatever we do. We hope that you will share in our desire to shine for Jesus too!
