You’ve found us, and we are pleased to welcome you My name is Darrell Holmes, Pastor at the Beacon. We are honoured as a family to serve God and be part of the wider Baptist family. The Baptist Church Kilmington gathers at The Beacon and draws people from across the rural Axe Valley and beyond. We’ve been around the area since 1650, so we have a great history. Read all about it here But most people want to know about the church of today. We are ordinary people with an extraordinary passion to be servants for Christ Jesus.
We aim to reflect the love of Jesus to all we meet daily in our lives. That means you too! We have a congregation of over 140 people of all ages serving the community in a variety of ways. We seek to be a Beacon for Jesus, living out our faith wherever we may be, and in whatever we do. Our verse for the year is challenging us to pray for those who are not-yet believers and also to be united with all of God’s church both locally and globally. However, the best way to get to know us is to come along to one of our meetings or events which are shown here
